Vista Equity Partners has raised more than $10 billion for its sixth fund, according to three Form D filings.
The filings indicate the firm has raised about $10.5 billion, which is the hard cap on Fund VI. However, this is not a final close for Fund VI, said a source familiar with the San Francisco-based private equity firm.
The current fundraise tops the original $8 billion target as previously reported in Buyouts, citing Oregon Investment Council documents.
Following its previous strategies, Vista’s Fund VI will focus on acquiring enterprise software companies with valuations between $400 million and $5 billion.
In 2014, Vista closed its fifth fund at $5.775 billion. No performance data was available on Fund V.
