Warburg Pincus hires new general counsel and MD

Private equity firm Warburg Pincus said Thursday that it has named Robert B. Knauss as general counsel and managing director. Previously, Knauss, who is based in the firm’s New York office, worked at Munger, Tolles & Olson in Los Angeles, where he served as a corporate partner and focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities and private equity.
