Canadian mining private equity firm Waterton Global Resource Management has hired advisers to sell its Dumont nickel project in Quebec, sources told Bloomberg. The project could fetch as much as $1 billion in a sale, which will be run by Goldman Sachs Group, the sources said. The auction is expected to draw interest from other miners, automakers, battery makers and financial players.
