Bill Dawson, CEO of Wellspring Capital, has taken a leave of absence after a former employee accused his son of sexual assault, reported Bloomberg. According to details in a lawsuit, Taylor Lawrence, a former head of marketing and investor relations at Wellspring, said that Dawson’s son Christopher raped her in 2014. When she approached Dawson about the assault, he allegedly told her he would “ruin” her. The news outlet noted that the Dawson family sent a statement to Institutional Investor, in which they dismissed the allegation, describing it as “pure fiction intended as a shakedown.”
