Wellspring closes Hoffmaster Group buy

Wellspring Capital Management LLC has completed its buy of Hoffmaster Group Inc. Metalmark Capital was the seller. Financial terms weren’t announced. Oshkosh, Wisconsin-based Hoffmaster makes and supplies disposable tableware including paper plates, cups, napkins and decor. Robert W. Baird & Co served as financial advisor and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP acted as legal advisor.


OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – November 23, 2016 – Hoffmaster Group, Inc. (“Hoffmaster” or the “Company”), a leading North American manufacturer of disposable tableware, today announced the completion of its acquisition by Wellspring Capital Management LLC (“Wellspring”), a leading middle-market private equity firm, from Metalmark Capital (“Metalmark), a New York-based private equity firm. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
