Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe Adds William Eisenbeis

New York-based private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe has named William Eisenbeis to the post of senior industry executive. At the firm, Eisenbeis will focus on financial technology and services investments, helping source deals, conducting due diligence and monitoring portfolio companies. Previously, Eisenbeis was head of the principal strategic investments group at Citadel.

Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (“WCAS” or the “Firm”), the largest private equity investor in information/business services and healthcare, has named William Eisenbeis as a Senior Industry Executive. Mr. Eisenbeis will focus on the Firm’s financial technology and services investments. Mr. Eisenbeis has more than ten years of experience in financial technology and services investments. He most recently led the Principal Strategic Investments group at Citadel LLC, where he had responsibility for identifying, negotiating and executing principal investments and assisted with the management of the investment portfolio. At WCAS, Mr. Eisenbeis will help lead the Firm’s financial technology and services investment process, including sourcing of new investment opportunities, due diligence, and portfolio company monitoring.

In that role, he was responsible for identifying, negotiating and executing principal and strategic investment opportunities on behalf of Merrill Lynch. Mr. Eisenbeis holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. from Georgetown University.
