Whit Matthews Joins SL Capital Partners

Whit Matthews has joined SL Capital Partners as an investment manager focused on private equity. He previously worked in the University of Pennsylvania’s investment office as an associate.

SL Capital Partners LLP (“SLCP”) has strengthened its Private Equity team with the appointment of Whit Matthews as Investment Manager, Private Equity. Whit previously worked for the Office of Investments, University of Pennsylvania as Investment Associate where he was responsible for researching and investing in private equity funds and absolute return strategies.

 

Based in Boston, and working with Jamie Ebersole, Eric Albertson and John Cancellieri, Whit will be an integral part of the team which manages $600 million of US private equity interests raised from clients. His responsibilities will include helping to identify funds which represent attractive investment opportunities and undertaking financial and business analysis of direct investment opportunities in private companies.

Prior to joining SL Capital Partners Whit was Investment Associate (Private Equity and Absolute Returns) with the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from Villanova University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
