


Toronto-based secondaries private equity firm Whitehorse Liquidity Partners has promoted Leah Boyd to partner and hired Derek Miners as senior principal and head of active portfolio management. Boyd joined Whitehorse as general counsel in 2019 while Miners worked at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. In addition to these appointments, Whitehorse has made 11 promotions.

TORONTO, ONT, January 13, 2020 – Whitehorse Liquidity Partners Inc. (“Whitehorse”), a specialized investment manager focused on providing structured liquidity solutions to private equity portfolios, is pleased to announce a series of developments on its team including expansion of the partnership, promotions and additions to the team.

Whitehorse is pleased to announce the promotion of Leah Boyd to Partner. “Since joining Whitehorse as General Counsel at the beginning of 2019, Leah has made a significant impact on the organization,” said Mr. Robard. “She has developed an internal legal department that supports the firm as a whole and she provides valuable counsel and strategic advice as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We are delighted to welcome Leah to the partnership.”
Whitehorse is also pleased to announce the addition of Derek Miners, Senior Principal, Head of Active Portfolio Management. “We are thrilled that Derek has joined the Whitehorse team,” said Michael Gubbels, Partner of Whitehorse. “Derek comes to us as a seasoned investment and finance professional, having 20 years of experience in private equity, operations and capital markets, including 15 years with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in increasingly senior roles. He will be leading Active Portfolio Management, a newly formed department that will focus on fund management, fund monitoring and liquidity management. The creation of this department is a milestone for our firm and yet another example of how Whitehorse endeavours to plan for, rather than react to, complexity.”
