Wyle Sells Test Operations

Wyle, an El Segundo, Calif.-based provider of tech and other services to military and civilian government agencies, has sold its Santa Clara, Calif. test operations to Silicon Turnkey Solutions, a Milpitas, Calif.-based test and qualification services company. No financial terms were disclosed. Wyle is a portfolio company of Littlejohn & Company.

Wyle has sold its Santa Clara test operations to Silicon Turnkey Solutions (STS), a leading-edge test and qualification services company based in Milpitas, Calif.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The business will operate under STS management as a new division called Hi-Rel Microelectronics. STS is engaged in a business that is highly complementary and synergistic to Wyle's Santa Clara test business.  

STS' familiarity with the business model and the industry will ensure a smooth transition and seamless continuity of operations for both customers and employees.

The Santa Clara test operations serve the aerospace, military and commercial electronics industries offering comprehensive services for virtually any test requirement of integrated circuits, including memory testing, plastic screening and high-volume test support.

STS, a privately owned company, is a leading provider of complete in-house, manufacturing, testing, environmental screening and product design/qualification capabilities that integrates its engineering expertise in supplying latest technology with high reliability products along with test validation and characterization services.

Wyle, a privately held company, is a leading provider of high tech aerospace engineering and information technology services to the federal government on long-term outsourcing contracts.
