DECEMBER 7, 2018 – Foley’s Candies Limited Partnership (“Foley’s”), a portfolio company of Yellow Point Equity Partners (“Yellow Point”), is pleased to announce the acquisition of Brockmann’s Chocolates (“Brockmann’s”).
For more than 80 years, three generations of the Brockmann family have used their skills as master chocolatiers to create inspiring confections. Brockmann’s Crunchetti and Truffini brands and private label products are found in retailers across North America. Brockmann’s has a reputation for creating the highest quality products, providing exemplary customer service and delighting consumers. The company has robust manufacturing and packaging capabilities and world-class food safety certifications.
The acquisition of Brockmann’s provides Foley’s with significant complementary product and manufacturing resources. Andrew Elliott, CEO of Foley’s said, “We are delighted to gain the experience and passion for excellence that the entire Brockmann’s team bring to this partnership. We are especially pleased that Kathrin Brockmann will join the Foley’s executive team as Vice President of Customer Relations and Innovation.”
Kathrin Brockmann said, “Foley’s is a fantastic cultural and strategic fit for Brockmann’s, and we are delighted to join the Foley’s family with the combination of our businesses. Brockmann’s was founded by my grandfather in the 1930s and my parents later brought the company to Canada and grew it to new heights. I now look forward to the next stage of success with the additional resources and expertise that Foley’s will bring.”
Foley’s acquisition of Brockmann’s brings together two terrific British Columbia success stories and accelerates Foley’s expansion into premium confections.
