Zapoint Raises First Round

Zapoint, a Brookline, Mass.-based provider of talent management software, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding led by HFF Investments.

PRESS RELEASE

Zapoint, a leading provider of Talent Management solutions, announced today that it has closed its first round of funding. The Series A round was led by HFF Investments and includes backing from international private equity investors. Zapoint will use the new financing to accelerate product development and further fund the expansion of its talent platform.

“Zapoint stands out with a powerful and unique solution that addresses a pressing market need,” said Helly Fernandez, Managing Partner, HFF Investments. “Its strong management team, combined with its exceptional technology, allows it to capitalize on this unique opportunity in the recruiting and talent management fields. HFF Investments looks forward to supporting Zapoint as it becomes the go-to technology provider for organizations of any size seeking to better manage their workforce.”

Zapoint's funding comes on the heels of several large enterprise contract wins for the company. The new business growth is seen as a validation of Zapoint's fresh and strategic approach to managing human capital. The company has enjoyed a record year so far, and will continue to expand on its innovative product portfolio and field operations.

Zapoint allows organizations to streamline the process for recruiting, managing, and retaining talent from within and outside an organization. At the heart of Zapoint's platform is a patent-pending talent algorithm, which scores skills and achievements helping to remove ambiguity and subjectivity of paper based and antiquated HR applications.

Designed using HR and recruiting best practices, as well as the latest in Web 2.0 and social networking technology, Zapoint provides a unique, easy-to-use approach to solving today's human capital management issues. The Zapoint management team indicated they will be launching additional products and services later this calendar year.

“Receiving our first major outside investment is an exciting moment for the company,” said Chris Twyman, Founder and CEO of Zapoint. “It's also a key milestone in our quest to create the industry's first talent platform to quantify individual skills and achievement into an objective and common “talent currency”. Zapoint's currency can be trusted and traded between professionals, recruiters and enterprises. We believe our innovations have the potential to transform the talent management field.”
