CVC Expands Team to 60

Following the July $3.1 billion closing of CVC European Equity Partners II, the largest pan-European buyout fund to date, CVC Capital Partners has added three members to its investment team, which now numbers 60 executives across its nine European offices.

Anthony Fobel, formerly a corporate finance director at Lehman Brothers, joins CVC’s London office as an investment director. While at Lehman Brothers, he was involved with BBA’s auction of the Haefely Trench electronics components business, which CVC later acquired.

Alex Nieberding, who was appointed an investment manager, will initially form part of CVC’s London team, working alongside director David Milne on German transactions, before being transferred to the group’s Frankfurt office. Alex Nieberding previously worked in Credit Suisse First Boston’s investment banking division and before that as a credit underwriter at NationsBank Business Credit.

Investment manager Etienne Keller, who previously worked in the due diligence and audit assignment team of Arthur Andersen, Paris, is joining CVC’s Paris team.
