EI opens Czech office

Central and Eastern Europe’s oldest private equity firm, Enterprise Investors, has opened its office in Prague and appointed Ivan Jakubek to lead its operations.

Jakubek joined EI in 2005 and is responsible for business development in the Czech and Slovak Republics. He has more than seven years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, consulting and restructuring.

Jakubek commented on his new appointment and said: “In the Czech Republic we have two of the largest companies in our portfolio – AVG Technologies and Kofola. By opening the office in Prague we want to be closer to our Czech partners and entrepreneurs.”

EI is currently in negotiations regarding capital investments in several Czech companies. The firm, founded 1990, has been investing in the Czech Republic since 2005 and focuses on consumer goods, retail, financial services, manufacturing and IT sectors.
