Vision Capital promotes Cortas to partner

Vision Capital has promoted Samer Cortas to partner. Cortas joined the firm in October 2010, having previously spent more than twelve years in leveraged finance. He has global responsibility for financing across the portfolio.

Vision Capital is pleased to announce that Samer Cortas has been promoted to Partner.

Samer Cortas joined the firm in October 2010, having previously spent more than twelve years in leveraged finance. Samer has global responsibility for financing across the portfolio.

Taking advantage of the improvement in the financing environment in 2013, Samer led a number of refinancings and recapitalisations across Vision Capital’s portfolio of companies, including bond transactions for BrightHouse and Nordax Finans and bank and asset backed financings for Bormioli, Pirtek Europe, Pork Farms and Fletchers Bakeries.

Samer Cortas Biography
Samer joined Vision Capital in 2010. Prior to this he was a founding member of the debt advisory firm Blenheim Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey. Previously, Samer worked in the leveraged finance team at CIBC World Markets in London and New York. Samer holds a dual degree in Economics and in Middle East and South Asian studies from Columbia University.
