Wells Fargo Capital Finance expands team with new hire

Wells Fargo Capital Finance, a unit of Wells Fargo, has hired Michael Vasquez as business development officer. In his new position, Vasquez will focus on originating loans for the Northeast region.

SANTA MONICA, June 24, 2014 – Wells Fargo Capital Finance, part of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), has announced that Michael Vasquez has accepted a position as business development officer in New York. Vasquez will focus on originating loans for the Northeast region that is led by Scott Ryan, managing director, regional sales manager for the Northeast at Wells Fargo Capital Finance.

“Michael is a very talented and hard-working team member,” stated Ryan. “I am excited to have him join our New York team and I am confident he will make an immediate impact as he has done in the Southeast and Canadian markets.”

Vasquez has been an originator for Capital Finance since 2007. His experience includes covering the Southeast U.S. and Canada for a host of industry verticals. Michael has also held positions with Wells Fargo’s commercial bank and workout group and is a graduate of the company’s Credit Management Training Program (CMTP). CMTP is a training program offered to a select group of strong, talented candidates within Wells Fargo Wholesale Bank that focuses on building credit and business development skills.
Michael holds an economics degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and serves on the board of an Atlanta based children’s shelter.
