Saratoga Springs, NY (PRWEB) January 15, 2014
Brian Crosby, an experienced and successful investor entrepreneur who helped finance and build several high-performing sports and media brands, has joined the Advisory Board of SportsSignup (http://www.sportssignup.com/), a national leader in online services for sports organizations.
The announcement was made by SportsSignup CEO Anthony Bruno.
“Given SportsSignup’s expanding opportunities in the youth sports industry, Brian brings powerful expertise to our team at this exciting time of new growth,” Mr. Bruno said. “Over the past 20 years, Brian has a strong history of connecting emerging businesses with capital and/or partner opportunities that have led to some very successful ventures. We are fortunate to have Brian join our team.”
Mr. Crosby is a former partner of Falconhead Capital, a role in which he sourced, led and managed investments in consumer and media companies such as Competitor Group, an event and media leader in endurance sports; Maritime Telecommunications Network, a technology and specialty media provider; and ESPN Classic Europe, a leading sports cable channel.
Mr. Crosby said he is eager to partner with the leadership team of SportsSignup, which for two consecutive years has earned recognition on the Inc. Magazine 500|5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. and is poised for additional growth.
“The SportsSignup team has done a fantastic job building a loyal customer base around its core registration services,” Mr. Crosby said. “The level of trust they have gained from their customers has opened the door for related product opportunities yet to be explored. I am excited to help navigate through the next phases of growth.”
SportsSignup will draw upon Mr. Crosby’s expertise and contacts in both private equity and the participant-sports sector.
