Thoma Bravo has promoted Robert Sayle to partner. Sayle joined Thoma Bravo in 2005 and was most recently principal in the San Francisco office. Prior to Thoma Bravo, Sayle worked at JP Morgan and Hambrecht & Quist in San Francisco. Sayle was instrumental in the firm’s acquisitions and developments of software portfolio companies Embarcadero Technologies; Empirix; Entrust; InfoVistas; LANDesk Software; Network Instruments; SonicWALL; and Tripwire.
Thoma Bravo, LLC, a leading private equity investment firm, has promoted Robert ‘Tre’ Sayle to partner. Sayle joined Thoma Bravo in 2005 and was most recently a principal in the firm’s San Francisco office.

Sayle’s prior experience includes positions at JP Morgan in New York and Hambrecht & Quist in San Francisco. Sayle has been instrumental in Thoma Bravo’s acquisition and development of software portfolio companies Embarcadero Technologies, Inc.; Empirix, Inc.; Entrust, Inc.; InfoVista, S.A.; LANDesk Software, Inc.; Network Instruments, LLC; SonicWALL, Inc.; and Tripwire, Inc., and as a board member of all these companies. In addition, Sayle has been involved in the growth of Thoma Bravo portfolio companies Flexera Software, Inc.; and Vision Solutions, Inc.
Sayle graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
