Aquiline Capital Partners has hired Susquehanna Growth Equity co-founder Vincenzo La Ruffa to lead the firm’s focus on financial technology. Prior to Aquiline, La Ruffa co-founded and was managing director of Susquehanna, a firm focused on financial technology, information services and software growth. Before that, he worked at NGP Energy Technology Partners and EnerTech Capital.
Aquiline Capital Partners LLC (“Aquiline”), a New York-based private equity firm specializing in financial services, today announced that Vincenzo La Ruffa has joined the firm and will lead Aquiline’s efforts in financial technology investments.

Mr. La Ruffa brings to Aquiline 12 years of investing experience. He was managing director and co-founder of Susquehanna Growth Equity, a private equity group focused on financial technology, information services, and software growth equity and buy-outs. Previously, he held positions at NGP Energy Technology Partners and EnerTech Capital, and he began his career at Deutsche Bank. Mr. La Ruffa has a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School and a B.A. in classics from the University of Pennsylvania.
