MYCOM software business, the leading independent provider of carrier-grade Service and Network Performance solutions, today announced that it has acquired OSI, a leading Fault Management and Service Impact provider, to extend and enhance its market leading Service Assurance product portfolio for Communications Service Providers (CSPs). MYCOM is backed by Clearlake Capital Group, a private investment firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“The intelligent analysis and automation from both companies will enable MYCOM to realize its concept of building a Service Assurance solution that provides real time visibility of Service Experience and autonomously optimizes Network and Service Quality”
The acquisition brings together two well established businesses in adjacent sectors of the Telecom OSS Service Assurance market: MYCOM provides end-to-end multi-domain service and network performance management with its award-winning NIMS-PrOptima™ platform, and OSI provides umbrella fault and service impact management with its market-leading NetExpert™ platform.
“MYCOM Group continues to grow from strength to strength, and today we have made a significant step forward in our ability to provide our customers with advanced solutions that help them meet their business objectives rapidly and efficiently,” said Siamak Sarbaz, MYCOM Group Chairman and Founder. “The combined MYCOM/OSI product portfolio, our continued commitment to significant R&D investment in Service Assurance software product innovation, and our enlarged combined customer base across wireless and wireline providers will enable us to better serve our customers and meet our growth goals.”
“Network and Service Quality are the fundamental contributors to customer experience, loyalty and churn,” added Payam Taaghol, CEO of MYCOM software business. “Our mission is to simplify Service Assurance so that the very platforms that our customers implement to manage their complex networks do not add even more complexity. We want to deliver pre-integrated, fully automated service assurance solutions, rich with telecom expertise that correlates services to network resources and unlocks valuable network intelligence.”
Common to both companies’ product strategies is the management of multi-vendor, multi-technology, multi-domain network equipment elements within a unified system. In addition, both companies’ platforms are highly scalable and flexible, embedding telecom-specific capabilities and efficient automation.
“The intelligent analysis and automation from both companies will enable MYCOM to realize its concept of building a Service Assurance solution that provides real time visibility of Service Experience and autonomously optimizes Network and Service Quality,” added Mounir Ladki, President and CTO of MYCOM software business. “This is a key requirement of our customers as they strive to enable more digital services with differentiated experiences over their heterogeneous converged networks.”
Clearlake Partner and Co-Founder Behdad Eghbali said, “We are excited to continue to back MYCOM in the next stage of its evolution as it acquires OSI. MYCOM and OSI are highly complementary in terms of combining two best-of-breed, highly differentiated communications software offerings, and thus we are confident the acquisition of OSI uniquely positions MYCOM to effectively address the growing OSS needs of the combined customer base.”
Mooreland Partners served as financial advisor to the seller, and Wells Fargo Capital Finance provided financing for the acquisition.
