Jobs of the week: Macquarie, CIM, Sorin and Rosewood hiring


This week’s job opportunities include vice president positions at Macquarie Capital and CIM Group. Also, a lawyer opening is for the taking at Sorin Natural Resources Partners. 

Macquarie Capital is hiring a vice president of energy and infrastructure at its New York City office. The candidate must have 3-5 years of vice president or associate experience in investment. A strong preference is given to those who have project finance experience. Also, the hire should have experience structuring both greenfield and brownfield deals in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

CIM Group, a Los Angeles-based real estate and infrastructure investment firm, is recruiting for a vice president of consultant relations (private equity real estate). Job responsibilities include creating a deep working relationship with each consultant, with the goal of getting the consultants to understand CIM’s investment offerings and to endorse CIM as an investment partner for their clients. The applicant should have 8 plus years’ experience in a finance or investor relations position at a private equity firm or investment bank. An MBA is preferred.

Denver-based real asset private equity firm Sorin Natural Resources Partners is looking to add a water resources attorney or paralegal to its staff. The hire’s main responsibility will be to grow the firm’s water resources investments in Colorado. The candidate must have technical understanding of water resources including historical consumptive use analyses, groundwater hydrology, exchanges, augmentation plans, water storage, and recharge. Also, the applicant must have a law degree; however, the firm may consider a substitution of certain academic credentials in exchange for industry-related work experience.

Rosewood Corp‘s private equity division Rosewood Private Investments is seeking to hire an analyst. The hire will be responsible for supporting RPI’s associates and directors in various aspects of the private equity investment cycle, including marketing, deal sourcing, evaluation of new opportunities, and some portfolio management. Candidates should have 1-3 years of work experience in wealth management, commercial banking, management consulting, or financial sales. The position is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
