23andMe Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based developer of software that informs individuals of their personal genetic information, has raised just over $8.95 million in Series A funding. The round was originally announced earlier this year without a dollar amount, but has now been revealed in a filing with the SEC. Backers include Google, Genentech, Mohr Davidow Ventures and New Enterprise Associates. www.23andme.com
