BTIG, LLC hired Colin Knudsen as a managing director in the technology, media and telecom banking group. Knudsen will be based in New York and will focus on TMT M&A and capital markets transactions. Prior to BTIG, Knudsen was co-founder and vice chairman of Coady Diemar Partners.
BTIG, LLC, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research and related brokerage services, announced today that Colin Knudsen has joined the firm as a Managing Director within its Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Investment Banking Group. Based in BTIG’s New York office, Mr. Knudsen will be focused on advising companies on TMT-specific M&A and capital markets transactions.
Mr. Knudsen has held a number of key TMT investment banking leadership roles across his 30-year long career in investment banking. Prior to BTIG, he was a Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Coady Diemar Partners, a boutique M&A and private capital advisory firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Knudsen served as a Managing Director within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking Groups at Credit Suisse.
Previously, he was a Managing Director within the Media and Communications Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he played a pivotal role in the firm’s media and communications transactions for nearly 20 years. Mr. Knudsen was also Co-Head of the Internet Infrastructure/Data Services Groups at both Credit Suisse and DLJ, and a member of the Investment Committees of the DLJ New Economy Fund and the DLJ Fund of Funds.
