Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Carlyle, Vista, Fortress are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

The Carlyle Group is looking to hire an analyst/associate at its subsidiary AlpInvest. Duties include sourcing and review of fund investment opportunities, tracking of internal deal flow, participation in due diligence, and general research on the private equity environment. The target candidate is pre-MBA, with two to four years of experience in investment, research, consulting or similar fields. The position is located in New York.

Vista Equity Partners is recruiting an investor relations analyst. The successful candidate will support a team responsible for fundraising, creating and maintaining marketing materials, and interfacing with investors. Applicants should have one to two years of relevant work experience at a bank, PE fund, or similar organization. Candidates that have undergone an institutional training program (e.g. banking, asset management, accounting, marketing, etc.) are strongly favored. The position is located in San Francisco.

Fortress Investment Group is in the market for a transportation analyst to work with Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure. The hire will analyze and execute investment and asset management strategies, develop flexible financial models, provide analytical support for debt and equity transactions, and participate in strategic planning and budget processes. Applicants should have two to four years of experience as an analyst at a top investment bank, preferably in transportation, industrials, real estate, or M&A. The position is located in the greater New York City area.

Hudson Advisors is seeking a senior analyst, buy-side, to help deploy and manage a $1.3 billion fund that was raised at the end of 2014. The successful candidate will also be responsible for evaluating new acquisition opportunities, primarily in the mortgage and broader financial-services sector. Qualifications include at least two years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or another finance-related field; residential mortgage, structured finance and asset-based investing experience are all pluses. The position is located in Dallas, Texas.

RSPartners, LLC is on the hunt for a mergers and acquisitions analyst. The hire will support senior staff and partners in the provision of M&A advice and execution through a range of financial and strategic analyses. Client and transaction responsibility will also be involved. Requirements include one to three years of investment banking, corporate development, or private equity experience, ideally with exposure to aerospace and defense. The position is located in Arlington, Virginia.
