Ontario Teachers-backed Aurora Plastics buys Reinier Plastics

Aurora Plastics LLC has acquired Reinier Plastics Inc, a Marieville, Québec-based manufacturer of high quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds and alloys. No financial terms were released. Streetsboro, Ohio-based Aurora, which supplies a range of customized rigid PVC products, said the deal expands its product offering, supply chain and geographic footprint. The company has made plans to invest in Reinier’s Canadian facility. Last August, Aurora was acquired by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and U.S. private equity firm Wind Point Partners.

Clear rigid PVC
PVC/Acrylic pellets (AuroraShield™)
Purge compounds

The acquisition also expands the combined company’s supply chain and manufacturing footprint, adding to their ability to quickly and efficiently supply customers with the products they need. The combined company operates three PVC compound production facilities across the United States and Canada in Marieville, Quebec, Welcome, North Carolina and Streetsboro, Ohio.
