Saban Capital Group Inc said Monday it promoted Philip Han to Executive Vice President. Han previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer.

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Saban Capital Group, Inc. (“SCG”), the private investment firm specializing in the media, entertainment and communications industry, today announced the promotion of Philip Han to Executive Vice President. Han, who has been with SCG since April 2002, most recently served as the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. In this new role as Executive Vice President, Han will continue to oversee the strategy, design and implementation of the firm’s investment portfolio across equities, fixed income and alternative investments globally. Furthermore, Han will continue to lead the firm’s real estate division, which currently manages a portfolio of self-storage, student housing, retail and government office assets exceeding four million square feet in 18 states.

Before joining SCG, Han served as Vice President of Finance and Business Development for EYM Technologies, a venture-backed email infrastructure and development company. Prior to that, Han worked as a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the firm’s Entertainment, Media and Communications practice. Additionally, Han was formerly a Commissioner with the State of California’s Commission for Economic Development.
Han received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from UCLA and earned his masters degree in Finance at The Anderson School at UCLA.
