PRESS RELEASE:

Berlin: 1 June 2011: German startup 6Wunderkinder is set to boost its already rapid international expansion following an investment from T-Venture, the corporate venture arm of Deutsche Telekom. This additional funding comes just six months after the Berlin-based company raised €500,000 from the High-Tech Gründerfonds.

6Wunderkinder design and develop cloud-based, platform independent, productivity applications from its headquarters in Berlin – Europe’s new centre for hot tech startups. Last year the company launched the massively popular Wunderlist – a task management application that works on most platforms and allows users to make detailed, easy to navigate ‘to do’ lists, which can be shared with friends or colleagues. Its much-anticipated new app Wunderkit is due to launch in the autumn.

Thomas Grota, Senior Investment Manager of T-Venture, one of the most influential European Venture Capital companies, said: “We are thrilled to be involved with such an innovative, young and dynamic tech company as 6Wunderkinder. The business model fits very well with our investment objectives and we see a long and fruitful partnership to come.”

Berlin has become a hot bed of design, technology and entrepreneurship. There is no better example of this than 6Wunderkinder. Since it was founded 10 months ago the company has become one of the most keenly watched companies in the European tech arena.

Christian Reber, CEO of 6Wunderkinder, commented: “We are really looking forward to our partnership with T-Venture, they are great people to work with and we are sure that together we will only go from strength-to-strength with our growth strategy.”
