Altius Associates Ltd. has appointed Doug Moore to head up its US Investor Relations team. Doug will be based in the Richmond office, joining the Global IR team headed by Dr. Eric Warner.
Dr. Warner said: “We are delighted to have secured Doug to strengthen our US Investor Relations team. The increase in specialist funds we are planning calls for a more focussed and dedicated approach to the US investor base. Doug’s long experience in marketing to that base is a real fit for our needs, and we look forward to his leadership in this role.”
Mr. Moore joins Altius from Agecroft Partners where he was a Managing Director, responsible for marketing to institutional investors in the USA and Europe on behalf of a small group of alternative investment managers. Previous experience includes institutional sales and trading roles for a variety of investment banking firms, including R6 Capital Group and Merrill Lynch.
The position on the US IR team opened when the current Partner, Chason Beggerow, was asked to return to the Investment team to take up a special position developing the firm’s Secondary limited partnership and Co-Investment efforts. Dr. Warner added: “We thank Chason for his exceptional service to developing the firm’s investor base in the US, where he helped to close the first Altius Associates Private Equity Fund in 2008. He has left a secure platform for Doug to further develop.”
