Antares has provided a credit facility to back AE Industrial Partners‘ acquisition of Wichita, Kansas-based The Atlas Group, a maker of complex assemblies for commercial, military and business aircraft. No financial terms were disclosed. Antares was the joint lead arranger and administrative agent on the credit facility.

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Antares announced today that it served as joint lead arranger, and will act as administrative agent, for a senior secured credit facility to support the acquisition of The Atlas Group by AE Industrial Partners (“AEI”).

Atlas, based in Wichita, KS, manufactures flight-critical, complex assemblies on a diverse group of commercial, military and business aircraft. Atlas has developed a unique set of machining, specialty forming and chemical processing capabilities, supported by automation technology and low-cost manufacturing. This vertical integration allows Atlas to deliver a broad range of complex aircraft assemblies, including complete aircraft doors, wing structures and flight control assemblies for a growing list of leading aerospace OEMs.

“Antares worked closely with us to tailor a financing solution to meet our needs,” said Kirk Konert, principal with AEI. “We appreciate working with their team because they bring to bear the speed and certainty of execution you expect from a market leader.”

“We were pleased to support AEI as they invest in The Atlas Group, a company with a strong management team and solid positioning within the aerospace industry,” said Kevin Fitzgerald, senior vice president with Antares. “We expect AEI’s depth of experience and industry knowledge will help to further accelerate the growth of The Atlas Group.”
