Apax Partners has named Sandeep Naik and Shashank Singh as co-heads of the firm’s India office. They both joined the firm in 2004 — New York and London offices, respectively — before relocating to India in 2006. Apax said that former India head Neeraj Bharadwaj “is leaving the firm to join a U.S. growth capital firm.”
Apax Partners, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, is today pleased to announce that Sandeep Naik and Shashank Singh have been appointed co-heads of the India office.
Sandeep and Shashank both joined the firm in 2004 in the New York and London offices, respectively, and relocated to co-found the India office in 2006. They will be replacing Neeraj Bharadwaj, who is leaving the firm to join a U.S. growth capital firm.
Apax Partners opened its Mumbai office in 2006 and made its first direct investment in the region in 2007 with the acquisition of a significant minority stake in Apollo Hospitals, India’s largest private hospital group.
