A new fund, Atlon Capital Partners, has formed to focus on middle-market buyouts in France. The firm was started in October by Thibaut de Chassey and Edouard Thomazeau, both previously partners at French midmarket firm AtriA Capital Partenaires. Alton Capital Partners will focus on companies with an enterprise value between 30 million Euro and 150 million euro.
Thibaut de Chassey and Edouard Thomazeau announce the creation of Atlon Capital Partners in October 2011 to complete buyout investments on growing French-based, middle market companies with an enterprise value of €30 to €150 million. Atlon Capital Partners is an independent buyout firm that differentiates itself from its competition by its long-term commitment alongside entrepreneurs and its unique and demonstrated capacity to actively support them in their expansion projects in France and abroad, in particular through international add-on acquisitions.
Atlon Capital Partners has recently been approved by the French regulator Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) as a private equity fund manager, subject to certain conditions precedent.
A specialist of buyout investments in French growth companies, Atlon Capital Partners is being launched by two partners who have been working as a team for the past 11 years on the French midcap LBO market and represent a new generation of experienced private equity professionals with 16 investments completed and posting an IRR in excess of 30%. Under their supervision, these 16 companies completed over 40 additional corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint-ventures or greenfield projects in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and North America.
The two partners of Atlon Capital Partners are supported since the beginning of their project by a group of entrepreneurs who will become limited partners. Finally, the partners are in the process of staffing the team with several investment directors and associates.
