Audax-backed Axia acquires Ocean OB/GYN Associates

Axia Women’s Health, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, has acquired Ocean OB/GYN Associates, a group of five OB/GYN providers in central New Jersey. No financial terms were disclosed.

The Company
Ocean Obstetric and Gynecologic Associates (“Ocean”) is a group of five OB/GYN providers in central New Jersey.

The Deal
Axia Women’s Health (“Axia”), a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity (“Audax”) has completed a partnership with Ocean, representing the company’s 15th acquisition under Audax ownership.

The Thesis
Audax formed Axia in March 2017 as a leading provider of women’s health services in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with the thesis of growing the company through organic initiatives (such as marketing and patient engagement, ancillary services, and value-based reimbursement programs) and add-on acquisitions. Since 2017, Axia has expanded into Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky and continues to seek opportunities to increase scale on a national level and within existing geographies.
