CIH Ventures Inc, a local real estate developer, has acquired Washington, DC-based Bennington Station Apartments, a multifamily rental community. The price of the deal was $5.2 million.
Highland Capital Management LP has named Trey Parker as co-chief investment officer. In his new position, Parker will join Highland co-founder Mark Okada in the CIO role. Parker first joined Highland in 2007.
Carrick Capital Partners has teamed up with Dr. Lawrence Carin, a vice provost for research and professor of electrical and computer engineering at Duke University, to launch a machine learning business. Carrick has invested $10 million in the new business. Carin will serve as chief scientist of the new company.
Enable Midstream Partners has agreed to acquire Align Midstream, which is backed by Tailwater Capital, for about $300 million. Dallas-based Align is a midstream company focused on servicing producers' needs in East Texas and North Louisiana.
Olympus Partners has sold Columbia, South Carolina-based The Ritedose Corp, a maker of respiratory and ophthalmic drugs. The buyer was not identified in the announcement on the sale although a previous news item on the deal stated it was a consortium led by AGIC Capital. No financial terms were disclosed.
Main Capital has acquired a majority stake in Berlin-based Evania Video, a provider of programmatic video solutions. No financial terms were disclosed.
Diamond Hill Capital Management has named Jo Ann Quinif as managing director and head of institutional sales. Previously, Quinif worked at Weitz Investment Management where she served as vice president and director of sales and marketing.
Ignition Partners has hired Cameron Borumand as an associate. Previously, Borumand worked at Curious Capital where he was co-founder.
Bizagi, an enterprise software company, has raised $48 million in funding. The investor was Invus. GP Bullhound provided financial advice to Bizagi on the transaction.
New York-based First Eagle Investment Management LLC has opened an office in London. David Townsend, who heads EMEA Institutional, will manage the London office and all aspects of the firm’s institutional business in the region.
