Timothy Atkinson, a senior vice president at Meketa Investment Group, has joined the firm's London office. Previously, Atkinson was based in Meketa's Boston office where he was in charge of investment manager research and client service. In London, Atkinson will be responsible for manager due diligence focusing on credit and other debt strategies across the EMEA region.

Z Capital has beefed up its team with several new appointments. The firm has named Dennis L. Roberts and Jeffrey P. Werner as managing directors and operating partners; Andrew C. Curtis as managing director and a member of the investment team; Elias G. Silverman as a director and a member of the investment team; and Taylor S. Webb as an associate, corporate counsel and a member of the investment team.

Harbour Group has acquired Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based Phillips & Temro Industries Inc, a provider of thermal management systems and controls for the transportation and heavy equipment sectors. No financial terms were disclosed.

Squire Patton Boggs has promoted its private equity and venture capital head in Poland Michal Karwacki to partner at the firm's Warsaw office. Karwacki joined Squire Patton Boggs' global corporate practice in May 2014. Squire Patton Boggs is an international law firm that serves as an adviser in the private equity and venture capital markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

Investment banking firm D.A. Davidson & Co has appointed Bryan Cummings as managing director and head of private equity coverage. Cummings' previous work experience includes senior level roles at RBC Capital Markets and an unnamed information services firm.

Dow Schofield Watts has named Tony Norwood as a director to its corporate finance team. Norwood has previously held senior positions at Bank of Scotland Integrated Finance and at LDC.

Access Intelligence, a portfolio company of Veronis Suhler Stevenson, has acquired Exchange Monitor Publications and Forums, a business-to-business media company focused on conferences and e-newsletters in the defense and energy sectors. No financial terms were disclosed.

Bertram Capital has launched a holding company that will back businesses that create and manage digital content for ecommerce applications. The platform launch coincides with the completion of two Bertram acquisitions: Sandbox Studio LLC and KSC Studio LLC (dba OneKreate). Both of these companies provide ecommerce product photography and creative content solutions. No financial terms were disclosed.

Armory Merchant Holdings has made an undisclosed investment in Capital Guardian Holdings. Backed by Northern Star Capital Holdings, Capital Guardian is a financial services firm.
