BiologicsMD, a portfolio company of VIC Technology Venture Development, said Tuesday that it named J. David Owens to the company’s newly created CEO position. Previously, Owens served as Chief Business Officer for Novira Therapeutics. Headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas, BiologicsMD is a developer of therapeutics for improving bone health.

Nixon Peabody said Tuesday that it has named Stacy L. Vezina as a partner to the firm's private equity practice. Vezina, who is based in Nixon Peabody's Boston office, previously worked at Ropes & Gray. Nixon Peabody is a law firm that specializes in advising institutional investors, private equity funds and portfolio companies.

Accenture has agreed to acquire Mortgage Cadence from Monitor Clipper Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Mortgage Cadence is a provider of loan origination software and electronic document management services in the U.S.

Linsalata Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm in Cleveland, Ohio, has sold The Tranzonic Companies to Silver Oak Service Partners. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which took place on July 5, 2013. Headquartered in Richmond Heights, Ohio, Tranzonic is a provider of maintenance, cleaning and safety products.

Findly, a portfolio company of Symphony Technology Group, said Tuesday that it acquired Bernard Hodes Group from parent company Omnicom. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in New York, with offices and affiliates around the globe, Bernard Hodes Group is a full-service communications agency.

United Recovery Systems, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, said Tuesday that it has named Kevin Keleghan as president and CEO, effective July 15. Keleghan will be succeeding Jim Kelleher who retired July 12. However, Kelleher will continue to serve as an active board member at URS. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, URS is a leading provider of receivables management services.

Abbott Laboratories has agreed to acquire IDEV Technologies, a portfolio company of RiverVest Venture Partners. In accordance with the agreement, Abbott will acquire all outstanding equity of IDEV for $310 million. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year. Headquartered in Webster, Texas, IDEV is a provider of medical devices.

Clinipace Worldwide said Tuesday that it named Mark Ubert as CFO. In this role, Ubert leads all aspects of the company’s financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, treasury and tax teams. Backed by NXT Capital, Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, Hatteras Venture Partners, Brooke Private Equity, Osage Venture Partners and Mario Family Partners, Clinipace is a digital contract research organization in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Dallas-based iSIGHT Partners said today that it has received an investment from Blackstone. According to iSIGHT Partners, the capital will help the company launch its recently patented Cyber Risk Management System slated for release in the first quarter of 2014. iSIGHT Partners is a provider of global cyber threat intelligence solutions.
