Smiths Group has put its medical equipment business on the block, Bloomberg reported. First round bids are expected for the unit by the end of the year, the story said. Smiths’s medical equipment business could sell for more than $3 billion, Bloomberg said.
TA Associates has hired Goldman Sachs to seek out a buyer for Russell Investments, the Financial Times is reporting. Russell was valued at $1.15 billion in 2016 when TA acquired the company from the London Stock Exchange, the story said.
Maven Capital Partners said Nov. 19 that Simon Robb and Ben Gregory have joined the firm. Robb joins as portfolio manager while Gregory is a portfolio analyst.

BlueVine said Nov. 19 that it raised $102.5 million in a Series F round of funding led by ION Crossover Partners. New investors included MUFG Innovation Partners Co Ltd, O.G. Tech - Eyal Ofer’s VC, Vintage Investment Partners, ION Group, Maor Investments and additional private investors. Also participating were all major existing investors, including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, 83North, SVB Capital, Nationwide, Citi Ventures, Microsoft’s venture fund, M12, and private investors. BlueVine provides small business banking.

Snapdocs Inc said Nov. 7 that it raised $25 million in Series B funding led by F-Prime Capital. Participating in the round were prior investors Sequoia Capital and Founders Fund. Snapdocs is a real estate technology platform that aims to transform the homebuying process.
Liquidnet said Nov. 7 that Patrick Strobel was named chief technology officer. Strobel recently served as CTO/domain architect for CB&S Finance and Common Data Sourcing.
Investcorp is partnering with China Resources and Fung Investments to launch a platform that will invest in food brands in Asia, specifically China, Singapore and greater Southeast Asia. Investcorp, China Resources and Fung have committed $300 million to the platform, which aims to raise $500 million.
