Automattic Raises Series B

Automattic Inc., creator of the WordPress blog platform, has raised $29.5 million in Series B funding. Return backer Polaris Venture Partners led the deal, and was joined by The New York Times Co. and existing shareholders Radar Ventures and True Ventures. www.automattic.com
