PRESS RELEASE
BDO LLP, the accountancy and business advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Ross McDonald as Head of Debt Advisory.
Ross will be focused on developing a market-leading debt advisory business, through working with private equity owned, private and listed companies on accessing public and private debt capital markets.
The team will be able to support borrowers right across their credit life cycle, from raising new debt for healthy companies, to amendment processes for more stressed situations.
Peter Hemington, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, BDO LLP said: “Debt advisory is a major opportunity for BDO’s Corporate Finance team as the difficult environment for raising debt finance increases, requiring companies to understand all their options. Ross’s appointment marks a new chapter in the development of our Corporate Finance offering and we are very pleased to have him on board.”
Ross joins BDO from Deloitte, where he spent ten years working in Corporate Finance, specialising in debt advisory. During this time he advised companies in reviewing their debt funding options and raising debt capital across a range of different situations. His experience includes advising on the refinancing of Mothercare Plc and raising acquisition finance to support Vitruvian’s investment in Healthcare at Home and Betfred’s acquisition of the Tote. Ross is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
