Press release:

Bessemer Venture Partners, a global investment group, today announced that Jason Putorti, lead designer at Mint.com (now a division of Intuit), has joined the firm’s Menlo Park office as the industry’s first Designer-in-Residence at a venture capital firm.

“As Jason proved at Mint, people naturally commit their time and money to the most simple, intuitive and engaging web sites,” said David Cowan, a partner at Bessemer. “So we’re delighted now to have Jason helping Bessemer’s portfolio companies design their online businesses.”

“With a portfolio of Series A web investments like Yelp, Hunch, Yodle, LinkedIn, Smule and Wix, Bessemer’s a dream platform for me to practice design as a process,” said Jason Putorti. “For someone who loves a challenge, what could be better?”
