David Young and Jeff Tannenbaum have joined early stage investment firm BlueRun Ventures, the firm announced. Young is joining BRV as a Venture Partner, and was previously a founding team member of Marvell Semiconductor. Tannenbaum is joining as a Principal, and was previously the founder of PhotoCrank and co-founder of interactive book startup DreamFront.
BlueRun Ventures (BRV), early stage mobile investor, welcomes David Young and Jeff Tannenbaum to their investment team. David is joining BRV as a Venture Partner and Jeff is joining as a Principal.
David was a core founding team member of Marvell Semiconductor, build it from ground zero to over $10B market cap with 6,000 employees, he has created and lead the company communication business. Latest as VP & GM of mobile chipset business and lead worldwide sales. Since 2009, Mr. Young served as Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation officer for LG Mobile Business unit, during his tenure at LG, he has been the pioneer and driving force behind three key products: Optimus One, Optimus 2X and G-Slate. David is also a seasoned investor including his investment in 3LM (MMI – Motorola Mobility). David will be focused on new mobile investments both in the U.S. and Asia. He will also work closely with BRV’s existing portfolio.
Jeff joins BRV as a Principal and is focused on U.S. mobile and consumer internet opportunities. Jeff brings over 15 years of experience in building consumer web companies. Jeff founded and oversaw all business activities at PhotoCrank and was the co-founder of DreamFront, an interactive book startup.
BRV continues it focus on mobile and internet early stage investments and is excited to have David and Jeff on board.
