ANNOUNCEMENT

After four years at BOKU, Ron Hirson, Co-founder and President, has accepted the opportunity to be an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at two venture firms, Khosla Ventures and Mayfield Fund. We’re excited for Ron, but sad to see him go. During his tenure at BOKU, Ron ran multiple executive functions ranging from marketing to business development, and helped build the original BOKU product.

Over the past months Ron, CEO Mark Britto, and the rest of the management team have worked to ensure a seamless transition, and we’ve added strong leaders across the organization. These include Jon Prideaux, former EVP Visa Europe, running Business Development, Adam Lee from Intuit running Product, and Ray Ramillosa from Visa running Marketing. BOKU had its most successful year in 2012 and Q4 exceeded our expectations, which positions us for an amazing 2013.

Ron will continue to stay on as Board Member and Advisor helping to guide strategy and corporate development. The entire BOKU Family thanks Ron for everything he’s done to build this company into an industry leader in mobile payments. We wish Ron all the best in his new endeavor and look forward seeing his continued success.
