Borgman taps Germanotta as MD

Borgman Capital, a middle-market private equity firm, has named Jeffrey Germanotta as a managing director. He is a former principal and managing director at William Blair & Company.

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 14, 2018 – Borgman Capital (www.borgmancapital.com), a leading private equity firm serving the middle-market, today announced that Jeffrey Germanotta has joined the firm as a Managing Director.

Mr. Germanotta possesses over 35 years of experience in investment banking, commercial banking, private equity, and corporate planning, including extensive experience with business services, industrial and logistics concerns. In addition to his responsibilities at Borgman Capital, he is currently Director of Marquette University’s Finance in New York Program and an Adjunct Instructor teaching investment banking and private equity courses within the Applied Investment Management Program.

Mr. Germanotta was previously a Principal and Managing Director of William Blair & Company LLC, a Chicago-based global investment-banking firm. While at Blair, Mr. Germanotta was Co-Head of the Supply Chain Services practice within the Corporate Finance Department and Co-Group Head for the Equity Research Department’s Business Services practice. As an investment banker, he assisted clients with the formulation and execution of numerous strategic initiatives, including capital raises and M&A activities. As an equity analyst, Mr. Germanotta was consistently recognized in the Financial Times/StarMine “World’s Top Analysts” rankings.

Recent board and advisory roles include Supply Chain Equity Partner’s Advisory Board; a Florida-based private equity firm investing in middle-market North American supply chain service businesses. Special Advisor to Greenbriar Equity Group LLC; a New York-based private equity firm investing in the global transportation, logistics and distribution industries. Opportunity International US’ Board of Directors; among the world’s largest, not-for-profit global microfinance organizations.

Mr. Germanotta holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an M.B.A. from Marquette University. He is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Wisconsin.
