Brian Best Joins Leader Ventures

Brian Best has joined Leader Ventures as a managing director. He had spent the past decade with Western Technology Investment, most recently as an investment partner.

Leader Ventures, a private investment firm offering blended debt and equity financing, announced today that Brian Best joined their team as Managing Director.

 

Prior to coming to Leader Ventures, Brian spent over ten years at Western Technology Investment (WTI), a well known private equity firm focused on venture debt with over $2 billion in funds for management. Brian most recently was an investment partner with the firm and previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer and investment associate. While at WTI Brian led the firm's investments in several companies including: Calista Technologies (Acquired by Microsoft), IntruVert Networks (Acquired by McAfee), and Net6 (Acquired by Citrix Systems), among others.

 

Before joining WTI, Brian held several management and finance positions at Decisis Corporation and Ross Systems, Inc. Brian started his career at Ernst & Young and holds an MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley as well as a BS with Honors from the University of the Pacific.
