Brian Bode Joins Bell Partners

Brian Bode has joined Bell Partners as a senior vice president, with a focus on adding global institutional investors to the company’s existing base of individual investors and joint venture partners. Late last year, Bode stepped down as an executive director with UBS Investment Bank, where he had been a placement agent for private equity real estate funds.  Prior to joining UBS in August 2005, Bode had been with Atlantic Pacific Capital. 

Bell Partners has named a senior vice president whose chief duties will be adding global institutional investors to the company’s existing base of individual investors and joint venture partners.

Brian D. Bode, CFA, joins Bell Partners from the UBS Investment Bank in New York, N.Y. Bode has been named Senior Vice President-Investor Relations at the Greensboro, N.C.- headquartered firm.

This is a new position at Bell Partners, a 33-year-old company with substantial real estate management and investment interests, primarily in the multifamily housing and senior living sectors.

At the UBS Investment Bank, Bode was a senior relationship manager to pension funds and other investors in North America and Europe as part of the UBS’ third party real estate placement agent business.

Prior to his work with UBS, Bode was a managing director at Atlantic Pacific Capital, a boutique placement agent serving the alternative asset management industry. During his career as a placement agent, Bode worked on private fund raisings in excess of $7 billion in equity.

Before service at Atlantic Pacific Capital, Bode co-managed a multi-billion dollar portfolio of real estate and other alternative assets at the BellSouth (now AT&T) pension fund.

Bode received his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Louisiana State University in 1992 where he was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in 1996.

Bell Partners’ real estate investment and management portfolio is valued at approximately $5 billion. This portfolio includes approximately 55,000 apartments, and 2,500 senior living units in 28 communities, located in 16 states.
