CVC, Brookfield bidding for Starbucks Mideast franchise: Reuters

CVC Capital Partners, Brookfield Asset Management and two Abu Dhabi state funds have bid to buy a stake in the Middle East, North Africa and central Asia Starbucks franchise held by Alshaya Group, Reuters reported.

CVC Capital Partners, Brookfield Asset Management and two Abu Dhabi state funds have bid to buy a stake in the Middle East, North Africa and central Asia Starbucks franchise held by Alshaya Group, Reuters reported. Kuwait’s Alshaya is working with JPMorgan to sell a significant minority stake in the business. Bloomberg reported the overall franchise could be worth $11 billion to $15 billion.
