A consortium led by Brookfield Infrastructure Partners and HRL Morrison & Co is nearing a A$3.4 billion ($2.5 billion) agreement to take Australian fiber cabling company Uniti Group private, Bloomberg reported. The Adelaide-based residential broadband provider could announce a deal as soon as this week. Uniti also received a bid from Macquarie Asset Management and Public Sector Pension Investment Board.
