


The Carlyle Group has closed its seventh U.S. real estate fund at its hard cap of $4.2 billion, the firm announced today.
Carlyle Realty Partners VII will focus on all major real estate sectors and major metropolitan areas within the U.S.
According to the firm, Carlyle has closed more than 500 real estate investments across its seven funds.
In January 2012, Carlyle said it had raised $2.34 billion for its sixth U.S. real estate fund. UPDATE: The fund generated an average IRR of 22.25 percent and an average multiple of 1.38x as of March 31, 2015, according to data provider Bison.
