BLI Messaging, a Providence, R.I.-based provider of email, voice, fax and text messaging marketing solutions, has raised an undisclosed amount of private funding from Catalyst Investors.

PRESS RELEASE
BLI Messaging, providers of mass email, voice, fax and SMS text messaging marketing solutions, today announced that it has secured substantial funding from New York-based Catalyst Investors, a private equity firm focused on media, communications, internet related business services and software as a service. Exact terms of the deal are being kept private. “BLI is the best kept technology secret in the messaging space we have found.” Tyler Newton, Partner, Catalyst Investors.

Selected for investment on the strength of their robust technical platform and easy to use yet highly sophisticated CRM and marketing automation features, BLI Messaging distinguished itself from competitors by being the only provider capable of facilitating campaigns using all four communication channels (email, voice, fax and SMS) from one simple web based interface.

Currently employing 45 full time staff members, BLI Messaging expects this number to double within two years with at least half based in the North East US where the company is headquartered.

BLI Messaging has served over 4000 customers including the United Nations, GE, New York Stock Exchange and Cadbury. Growth to date has been largely attributable to the company’s high touch service oriented focus offering clients advanced technology coupled with excellence in marketing consultancy.

“The additional capital allows the company to invest in a quality management team. In the few short weeks post funding the company has already begun to demonstrate growth. Focusing our attention on the middle markets with a particular skill set in the integration space; BLI has set itself apart from the commodity level competition and is focused upon bringing high end features down market along with offering a revamped reseller program.” Said President and Founder David Baeder.

The capital injection will fund further development of the company’s sales and marketing operation. “We have the experience. We have the technology. We are unparalleled in both our feature set and service level. Now we have the funding resources to propagate this message by investing in marketing and sales,” said CEO Reginald V Williams III.

BLI Messaging began 20 years ago as a broadcast fax company and evolved to add email, voice and SMS to its platform in addition to ancillary services such as landing page creation, CRM system development, ad hoc programming and web design. For more information please visit www.blimessaging.com.
