Chaiken Named Chair

Frank Chaiken, a partner in Thompson Hine LLP's Cincinnati office, has been named chair of the firm's corporate transactions and securities practice.

Frank Chaiken, a partner in Th\mpson Hine's Cincinnati office, has been named the new chair of the firm's Corporate Transactions & Securities practice group. Chaiken, who joined Thompson Hine in 1993, is also a member of the firm's International Practice Committee. He previously led the firm's Private Companies practice and has served in a variety of other management roles in the firm. Chaiken's experience prior to joining the firm includes three years as in-house corporate counsel to Sandoz Agro AG, a multinational chemical company based in Basel, Switzerland.

Chaiken handles mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions for both private and publicly held businesses and serves as general outside legal counsel to a wide range of clients. “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this important practice at Thompson Hine,“ says Chaiken. “One of the largest practice groups in the firm, the Corporate group is active across our seven offices in the United States and our office in Brussels. Chaiken received his J.D. from Boston College and his A.B. from Harvard University. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. He is the former chair of the International Law Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association. He is active in a number of community and nonprofit organizations, including Talbert House, the largest private social services agency in southwest Ohio; the Plum Street Temple Historic Preservation Fund; Walnut Hills High School; and the Harvard Club of Cincinnati.
