Chicago Growth Partners has promoted Devin Mathews to managing partner. Mathews’ relationship with the CGP team goes back to 1995, when he spent three years as an analyst at the predecessor firm, William Blair Capital Partners.
Chicago Growth Partners is delighted to announce the promotion of Devin Mathews to Managing Partner. Devin’s relationship with the CGP team goes back to 1995, when he spent three years as an Analyst at the predecessor firm, William Blair Capital Partners. After attending graduate school, five years at Great Hill Partners and then as the Managing Partner of Baird Venture Partners, Devin re-joined his old team at Chicago Growth Partners in 2010 as a Partner. For Devin’s entire career in private equity he has focused on investing in tech-enabled services companies, one of Chicago Growth’s four core investment sectors. At CGP, he leads the firm’s activity in this sector with strong support from his colleagues. His current directorships include World50 and FineLine Technologies. Devin also serves as the Board President of Threewalls, a non-profit organization supporting Chicago’s emerging visual arts community. He received a BA from SUNY Binghamton and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
