Cipio Partners Promotes Meyel

Cipio Partners has promoted Diana Meyel has joined to the position of partner, within the firm’s international secondary direct investment team.

Cipio Partners announces the appointment of Diana Meyel to Partner of the international Secondary
Direct investment firm.

Dr. Hans-Dieter Koch, a Managing Partner, commented, “Diana has built Cipio’s management and
control systems and established a first-rate reporting for our investors. In addition, she has played a
key role in setting up and structuring our current Luxembourg fund vehicle.”

The promotion follows a busy first half of 2009 at Cipio. The firm acquired two portfolios of
international investments, including a number of European assets from 3i Group Plc in April 2009.
The firm also announced the first closing of its sixth fund family at EUR 61 million, amid one of the most
challenging fund-raising climates for years.
